“Charney and Kylie exemplify the direction we are headed with Legends FC,” said LA Legends General Manager Ramon Reid. “Both are talented on the field, great students in the classroom, but more importantly, both are phenomenal young women.”
Burk, a native of Tustin, California, recently completed her freshman season at Portland University in the fall. She made an immediate impact, starting 20 games and totaling 11 points for the 20-2 and fifth ranked Pilots. Awards following the season included WCC All Freshman as well as Honorable Mention All WCC.
Prior to arriving at Portland, Charney was a youth U.S. Club National Champion, as well as a USYSA National Champion. She was also a 2007 NSCAA Youth All American as well as 2008 Parade Magazine All American. Her 2006 Cal South ODP team captured the U.S. National Championship.

“Charney is an incredible play-making midfielder,” said Reid. “She brings international experience and creativity to our team. We are looking forward to the personality and passion she brings on and off the field.”
Doniak, a native of Chino Hills, California, finished her freshmen season at the University of Texas this past fall. She is a midfielder and started all 20 matches in which she played for the 18th ranked Longhorns. Following the season, she was named to the Soccer Buzz All Central Region Freshman Team.
