LA Legends 0, Fresno Fuego 1
LA Legends Unable to Cool Fresno Fuego

The LA Legends men remain in second place with 21 points, unable to prevent Fresno from extending their lead by 3 more points (for a total of 26).  Fresno scored in the 12th minute and it was a scrappy match dominated by neither team.

With a combined 24 shots, it was spot-on defending and great goalkeeping that kept the score low. Legends keeper Brent Douglas played the full-ninety and robbed the Fuego more than once of a well-earned goal. The normally prolific Legends attackers were also shut-down, partially the result of battling against the Fuego’s Ryan Kenny, a goalkeeper who ranks 3rd nationally in saves in the PDL.

In the 55th minute Legends’ defender Josh Brown was ejected from the match, forcing the Legends to work even harder as they were down a man for nearly the entire second-half.

Be sure to join the LA Legends for their next match on Sunday, July 6th when they take on the Southern California Seahorses in another double-header with the LA Legends Women.
