Professional Playing Experience: After college Bengard was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy where he played for 2 years. During that time his team won the 2001 U.S. Open Cup and the 2002 MLS Cup. He also played in international friendlies throughout China, Chile, and Japan. He then moved on to the Northwest where he played for the Seattle Sounders in 2003 and the Portland Timbers in 2004; leading the Portland Timbers to their best season ever, ending with the best record in the A-League (USL) that year.
Collegiate Playing Experience: Bengard began his collegiate career at Mt. San Antonio College before transferring to Cal State University Dominguez Hills. There he finished his last 3 years earning multiple "Player of the Week" awards as well as 2 CCAA 1st Team All-Conference honors. His senior year Bengard broke the CSUDH single-season points record and earned the CCAA 1st Team All-Conference award, 1st Team All-American, and won the Division 2 NCAA National Championship.
Community Involvement: At each location Bengard has assisted in running community outreach programs for inner-city kids offering camps and clinics for all types of players amongst many other things.
