The ownership of the Los Angeles Storm Premier Development League team announced late January the finalization of a merger of two local youth clubs in the area, Glendora FC and FC Stampede with the PDL and its new sister W-League side, forging the newly-named Legends Football Club.

After two years of competing in the USL and now the addition of the W-League franchise, the ownership feels it is important to take the next step towards their vision for a true soccer development program.

The Los Angeles Legends PDL & W-League franchise will serve as the peak of the development pyramid for the newly formed Legends Football Club. Legends Football Club has been created through the recent  merger of two local youth clubs in the area, Glendora FC & FC Stampede. Both GFC & Stampede have operated successfully for the past 6 years and agreed that joining forces together would be the best for everybody in the area.

The partnership will have the Legends program fielding 50 + competitive boys & girls teams, a year round soccer academy, and many other supporting programs. In addition to having all of the teams & programs, the PDL & W-League franchises will make the Los Angeles Legends one of the most unique soccer clubs in the Southern California area.

The Los Angeles Legends PDL & W-League team will continue to play at Citrus College Stadium which seats 10,000. There are 5 scheduled double headers for this upcoming 2008 season. The players, coaching staff, and new website will be announced soon.
